Who are you, where do you live and what unique experiences do you offer?
Hi i’m joe, i am 45 years old and i have lived in Belfast all my life.
I am very proud of this city, its culture and its people.
I offer an insight into the political history of the neighbourhoods that display the famous Belfast murals.
What does your city offer that you can’t find in other places?
Our city offers a variety of cultures and traditions, but our top attraction is the world famous Belfast murals
What is the best season to travel to Belfast?
Summertime is the best. But we welcome visitors at any time of the year
What to do if it rains once in Belfast?
There are many museums and other indoor attractions, or if you are on my taxi tour, we simply stay in the cab, we never let the weather get us down.
Where to eat really well in Belfast?
Belfast has many different cultures, all types of cuisine can be tried throught the city centre; but a BELFAST FRY is a must.
In which subject you are a local expert?
Talking, listening, but most of all relating the amazing stories behind the Belfast murals
How did you become a tour guide?
By accident really, i am a cab driver in Belfast city centre, and the large interest in the local history and the need to understand the meaning of the murals was bringing tourists to my cab asking many questions.
What do you enjoy most about leading tours?
Interpreting the stories behind the murals, with me you not only see the murals,..you hear them also
Why have you chosen to become a tour guide?
I really like relating the history of this ever changing city
Is there a cliché about Belfast? And is it true?
That Belfast people have great sense of humour….and yes its true
Which place you want to travel to the most?
Nowhere in particular, I meet many different nationalities that come here to Belfast
